After school hours are dominated by structured time: music lessons, soccer training and other planned activities. How can we encourage unstructured play? How can we create an environment that allows children to develop skills like flexibility, creativity and self regulation?
Create a pop up playground!
It’s very easy and children love it.
All you need is:
* a save place to play; garden, park, playground school
* cardboard boxes in different sizes; king size, small etc.
* cardboard tubes
* paper
* fabric
* clean save scrap
* old car tyres
* old keyboards, telephones etc
* markers in different colors
* tape, rope, string
* etcetera
Put it all together and let the children play, wonder, explore and create!
